About Partners

Purpose:

Partners' vision is to achieve a more sustainable economic, social, cultural and environmental base for the community through agriculture.

Goals:

  • To find new and expand existing opportunities through agriculture.
  • For "Agricultural" and "Town" communities to become more integrated socially, culturally and economically.
  • Provide education opportunities as identified by clientele.

History:

Partners started in 1994 with a grant from the Kellogg Foundation in partnership with the University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension.  The board has been involved with a variety of community economic activities in the Kimball area, including the sheep alliance, hay marketing cooperative and various research projects.
